I'm a child of the digital revolution through-and-through, but I still adore print media--newspapers, magazines, periodicals, etc. I scan the LA Times cover to cover before bed and find escapist pleasures in publications like Wired and dwell. Maybe it's precisely because I'm in a web media field that I still appreciate the printed stuff?
So on that note, I'm familiar with the Jewish/Jews By Choice blogosphere, but what's the landscape of Jewish printed media like? Here's a
Wikipedia listing, and I'm sure there's more beyond the LA Jewish Journal that I pickup at the Bagel Factory where I buy challah... I'm looking to subscribe to a select few, but I can't make up my mind. They seem to run the gamut from irreverent (
Heeb), Left-leaning (
Tikkun,
Jewish Currents), non-denominational (
Moment) and denominational (
Jewish Action,
Jewish Observer,
Reform Judaism, etc.).
What else is out there? If you've got a favorite, let me know.
